We have had the opportunity to do a lot of work for this client in their home. We have worked for them in their home many times from organizing to moving to creating new systems in several new homes. But this time, we got to come into their work space and get their new office space set up for success!
It is a very large office building with many different facets of their business. For this organizing project, we were a part of setting up a packaging center, a homeschool room for their oldest child, the kitchen and pantry area, a podcast room and a few small storage spaces. The main goal was to get everything that was still in boxes out of boxes and then create several systems in their new office building.
First up, we set up this packaging center where the office manager can easily put together welcome boxes. This space needed to be super functional and everything needed to be easily accessible in order to make putting the boxes together quick and efficient. To the right, we put together the boxes and placed those under the desk area right underneath the tissue paper that will be needed next. On the shelves above is all the product that will be ueed to fill the welcome box and right underneath, we folded shirts and organized and labeled them by type and size for easy grab and go. Lastly, we set up the mailing station to the left with tape, the shipping label maker and all the other needed supplies for mailing the boxes out.
Next up, we set up the kitchen and pantry area. This is an area that is used by many people in the office, so it was essential that everyone be on the same page in order to maintain the systems we set up. Everything was clearly, yet broadly labeled for the ever-changing snacks that will come into the pantry area. In the kitchen area, we put like items together in order to make the kitchen function best.
The homeschool space was a space that needed a little bit of tweaking and creating zones for our client’s daughter to learn. The space already had a lot of storage, so we were able to use the storage cabinets to house crafts and activities. Then we created areas in the room for reading and quiet time and also a table set up for learning.
Lastly, we unboxed and placed other office supplies and holiday decorations in storage closets in the building.
The ultimate goal for this space was to get everything out of boxes and give it place in this bullding that made sense functionally for the whole office.
