Volunteer Project 2021

Volunteer Project 2021

Every year our team collaborates with other local organizing businesses and looks for a way to use our organizing skills to give back to our community. For our first project in 2019, we helped a single mother who was terminally ill with cancer, sort through her home and downsize so that her children would not be burdened by her things and could focus on their last moments with her.  In 2020, we worked with Tennessee Baptist Children’s Home, to help organize some of their housing for children in need.

This year, we partnered with The Community Resource Center of Nashville.  Their goal is to provide essential items to our most vulnerable neighbors in times of disaster or need.  The last two years have been very difficult for many people in our community and we knew this would be an impactful place to serve. For this project we partnered with three other organizing companies to completely revamp the entire warehouse.

Donations are coming in all the time, and without a good system in place, it quickly becomes a chaotic space. It was difficult for volunteers to find items and get essential kits ready to be given out to those in need. So, over the course of two days, we implemented new shelving, created zones for specific categories, labeled every section so that it’s easily accessible, and organized their community kitchen area. Just a few short days after the warehouse project was complete, the recent record-breaking tornadoes came through. With a newly organized warehouse, we’re confident volunteers are able to quickly provide for those in need.
